Resources that I've been using in my studies.
Yesterday marked the day that I finished Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, it's one of my all-time favourites and it's something I watch back every now and then. This time I thought I'd watch it with some Swedish subtitles and include it in my studies. Now I need to find something else to replace it with!
What I Need To Work On Next Week:
I need to find an exam or course that will give me some sort of certification that states my fluency in Swedish. If I can find something, I can use this to shoot towards.
Being patient with learning any skill is important, I say this, but there are times when I feel helpless and frustrated that I'm not where I want to be. Watching a Swedish TV show, I realised how far off I am from being fluent in the language. I keep reminding myself to be patient, but how long do I have to wait for? Can I speed up the process further?
I need to remind myself with what Robert Greene says in his book, 'Mastery', "The greatest impediment to creativity is your impatience, the almost inevitable desire to hurry up the process, express something, and make a splash. "
Embrace the slow process and don't rush it!
